Availability & Time Off
Set when you can work so schedules stay realistic.
Your availability tells managers (and the AI scheduling assistant) when you can work. Keeping it current means fewer scheduling conflicts and fewer calls asking you to cover.
Setting your availability
- Open My Availability from the user menu.
- Add an availability block: pick the day, start time and end time, or mark All day.
- Choose the type:
- Available — you can work this time.
- Preferred — you can work and would like to.
- Unavailable — don't schedule you here.
- For a weekly pattern, enable Repeats weekly and set Starts on and an optional Repeat until date.
- Add Notes for context your manager should know.
Requesting time off
Create an Unavailable block for the dates you need off, with a note explaining the request. One-off blocks (without weekly repeat) work well for vacations and appointments.
What managers see
Managers see everyone's availability side by side on the Employee Availability calendar when building schedules, and the AI assistant treats your Unavailable time as a hard constraint.
Desired weekly hours
In Profile & Settings, set your Desired Weekly Hours to help managers balance how much you're scheduled.
